LUIZGA is Luiz Gabriel Lopes, a Brazilian artist born and raised in the heart of Minas Gerais, with musical roots that reach across many territories.

In Belo Horizonte, he co-founded the bands Graveola, TiãoDuá and Rosa Neon, taking on roles as a vocalist, guitarrist, songwriter, arranger and producer.

Since 2010, Luiz has been performing both solo and in collaboration with various musical projects, bringing his music to several audiences in numerous countries.

Since 2019, he has been developing a long-term music and education project with young people from the Indigenous peoples of Acre, deep in the Amazon rainforest of Brazil.

This ongoing collaboration gave birth to “NI HUI”, an album by the group KAYATIBU, recorded entirely in the forest, and to “TXAI BAND”, an album co-created with brazilian producer and grammy-winner Paulo Novaes and many Huni Kuin young artists.

Currently dividing his time between Europe and Brazil, LUIZGA´s performances present a captivating energy that blends the rich traditions of Afro South-Amerindian cultures. Sambas, Ijexás, Xotes and Maracatus unfold through his voice and guitar, creating a sound that is both original and unique.
